“Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)
Having been born with Spina Bifida and defying death as a baby, Emma Selley has faced several health issues over the course of her life. Recently, she and Andrew shared the exciting news about the opportunity for a kidney transplant that would change their lives and free them to run even more in serving the Kingdom of God together. But, unfortunately, in the lead up to the much-anticipated operation, they have been presented with new health issues that stand in the way of the operation progressing.
In this clip, Andrew and Emma share how they are processing the news and what the next steps look like. Emma, in particular, shares how, while she is not looking forward to the operations and recovery, she is asking the Lord for His mercies, is feeling His nearness, and experiencing His unexplainable and glorious joy. They know Jesus is carrying them and remind us that we don’t live for this life; we have an eternal and supernatural hope.
Let’s continue to stand with them in prayer and trust for God’s intervention, quick healing and that Emma can move forward with the kidney transplant sooner than anticipated.
