God is on the Move

Over the past few months, we have seen God move in ways we could only have hoped and wished for, but then again, why are we surprised? We serve an amazing God who is able to do ‘far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.’ (Ephesians 3:20-21).

We have been experiencing an amazing time of the move of the Spirit throughout 2016, and our members are rising up and into greater intimacy in their walk with God. The teachings have included topics like: God’s love, His character, the gifts of the Spirit – focusing on correct teachings of the prophetic and tongues, prayer and we are heading hindrances to personal and corporate revival. Our worship has reached another level too and we are having more prophetic words and tongues being spoken in our services!

We have seen many healings and salvations take place as we open our hearts to God and allow Him to move

A couple of highlights include our annual Men’s and Ladies Retreats, the Four12 Conference in Cape Town, the progression of our building, and the ongoing move of the Spirit amongst our congregation. We have seen many healings and salvations take place as we open our hearts to God and allow Him to move freely through the Church.

Our Men’s Retreat led with the theme of ‘Legacy’ and of being men who rise up and leave a legacy of God for their children and families. We then had our first ever back to back Ladies retreats – two weekends in a row, with the theme of ‘Tapestry’. We are all beautifully woven together by God and He threads the areas of our lives to make a beautiful picture in the end. During these retreats, we had some amazing testimonies of God’s healing power of both physical and emotional problems. One lady was healed of shoulder pain before we even prayed for her! We also saw a few salvations take place on these weekends and some recommitments to realign with God and His will for their lives. All praise to God!

About 30 of our members attended the Four12 Conference in Cape Town and returned with renewed passion in the ministries they serve in plus passion to start new things. Many of the messages at the conference also clarified things in people’s minds and we trust that the way forward will go from glory to glory. We feel that we have entered a time for breakthrough in worship, prophetic and healing, and many of the guys who attended the conference are the key leaders in this breakthrough.

God has provided so faithfully for all our financial needs and, to date, we are debt free and continue to build

A big item on the cards for Crossways Christian Fellowship at the moment is our building. God has provided so faithfully for all our financial needs and, to date, we are debt free and continue to build on and finish our much-needed extensions and Sunday School classrooms, all for the glory of God.

Our church is growing, and we want to be faithful with those God is bringing to us, so please pray with us as we continue to trust God for funding to finish this project, and that God would continue to send the people, and that, as a leadership, we would continue to give them the truth and to show them Jesus as He moves amongst us by His Spirit.

Jonathan is the lead elder of Crossways Christian Fellowship, a father to eight children and husband to Tracy. He is also a life orientation teacher and co-founder of The Kings Children’s Home.
