“Consider it pure joy my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1: 2-4)
Well, July into August was one of those wonderful seasons in the life of Lusaka Family Church (LFC) in which we were blessed to have our faith tested. God reminded us and spoke to us through Isaiah 42:6, that He had called us, He will take us by our hand, He will keep us and He will make us to be a covenant for the people and a light to the gentiles. Hallelujah! The exciting news is that today we and the congregation are stronger and continue to stand firm in the Faith.
We were blessed out of our socks by William & Pamela Marais apostolic visit to LFC. God, through this wonderful couple – real precious gems of God – deposited so much into us potential elders, deacons and ministry team leaders, that the church has been impacted and ‘recalibrated’ to fulfill His plans and purposes that He has planned for us (Ephesians 2:10).
Our one church plant in Kalingalinga (compound area) in Lusaka has exploded. We started with eight individuals and now after 6 months the numbers have soared to 80-85 on a Sunday morning. Chris Chibula, with the help of Sony Edwin who has been helping with this church plant, have baptised 25 people in the last 2 months. I also stand amazed at how God has showed Himself strong with Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning meetings seeing demons manifest and being cast out. We give God all the praise and glory for the wonderful things that He has done at Kalingalinga.
Lastly, been in relationship with Four12 has been so beneficial to us and we are greatly encouraged and look forward to the time away in Hermanus in November 2012.
