Greetings in the most precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Once again we are so thankful for all that our God is doing through The Gathering Place church here in Hoedspruit situated in the far north of South Africa.
The month of October has certainly hurried by too quickly, well so has this year for that matter which only leaves us a couple of months to complete all we planned to do this year. Not by Might nor by Power but by My Spirit, says the Lord. So we will press on regardless in building the kingdom of God in this area.
We have experienced such joy and excitement throughout this past month which started off with a tremendous Four12 Conference hosted by our Four12 Partners, Joshua Generation Church in Cape Town.
All credit must go to those who organised the Four12 Conference as well as to everyone who played such an important role in making this such a tremendous success. The manner in which we were greeted each day by so many smiling faces made everyone feel so welcome. Well done guys!
We had five folks from our The Gathering Place travel down with us to Cape Town to attend the conference, and since returning home they have not ceased to express how thoroughly they were blessed and enjoyed meeting new family in the Lord from all over the world at the conference. God’s family is growing each day as new souls come to know Him as Lord and Saviour!
What we are really excited about is the number of churches from overseas who attended the Conference, as well as new South African churches who are working together to fulfil the commission given in Ephesians 4:12.
It was so good meeting up with old friends from previous conferences and hearing what God is doing throughout the world. One day we shall all be together worshipping King Jesus. Amen.
Later in October, we were blessed with some visitors from our Four12 Partners, Covenant Life Church in Benoni. These folk blessed our church with their presence, as well as ministry and praying for the children attending Sunday school. A lovely time of fellowship followed around the dinner table as we shared the goodness of God in our lives. What an encouragement they were to us all.
What we are really excited about is the number of churches from overseas who attended the Conference, as well as new South African churches who are working together to fulfil the commission given in Ephesians 4:12. “For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
A beautiful thing that happened here in Hoedspruit. A couple who recently visited us from the Netherlands in the beginning of the year and attended our church for three months went home with so many questions and desires to be obedient to God and His calling upon their lives. They made a special trip back to South Africa to come and be baptised here in Hoedspruit. No doubt our Lord will honour them for their sacrifice made. We pray that all that they have experienced will continue to be conveyed to others in the Netherlands as they share what they have received here with us. God is so good.
Once again we thank you for all your love, prayers and faithfulness toward the ministry which God has laid upon our hearts to do for His glory. Please continue to pray for rain in our area, we have had small showers but do require more rain as many dams in the country are below the critical stage.
