Better than the Olympics

Greetings in the precious name of Jesus from Hoedspruit, South Africa. What an exciting month this has been, much better than the Olympics! We say this because the happenings and experiences with our God continue and are remembered for eternity.

This month we had a wonderful Kids Day organized by one of our Sunday School teachers, Carrie-Ann. This was a great success and we are still trying to find out who enjoyed it most, the parents or the children.  A good example learnt by all as we run the race with endurance that is set before us. (Hebrews 12:1)

God’s love is never ending and He wants us all to grow in His grace. Margaret, my wife, who has taught Sunday school for so many years is always in her element as she shares with young lives. She loves teaching by illustrating the power of God given to all who trust in Him and to know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It is always encouraging to see how these young lives enjoy dressing up to assist in the lessons given.

This month ended off well, as we were able to see four people come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour

This month ended off well, as we were able to see four people come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. Firstly a mother and her daughter visiting Hoedspruit from Chile, and then another mother and her son who live here in Hoedspruit and are now a committed part of our core church family group. We were also excited to see four saints go under the waters of baptism!

We love witnessing Acts 2:42 in action as we gather together in various homes for our community meetings, breaking bread and fellowshipping together.

May we ask that you to continue in prayer for the drought to come to an end, not only here in Hoedspruit but throughout South Africa where so many farmers and people are suffering because of the drought. There is a desperate need for rain to come soon as our water supplies are becoming very limited.

For all your love, prayer and support extended to us we are most grateful and humbly say “thank you” to each and everyone of our friends in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
