It’s time for the second Malawi trip this year. The first trip in July was made up of a team of eight people, where we concentrated on ministry to the church in Lilongwe, which involved leadership training and ministry to three of the surrounding congregations, including teaching at Bunda Quarry Church. This was the first church to be planted by Chad Lahana and the team from Joshua Generation Church (JoshGen) in 2008.
We then bussed up the coast to Kande Beach Village, where we ministered to the church which Lance Mcintosh planted 12 years ago. New eldership and deacon couples were set in place, people committed their lives to Jesus, and baptisms in the lake were the order of the week.
This second trip is to be based at Alpha Omega Pentecostal Church in Lilongwe, which is led by Harvey Chabinga.
This second trip is to be based at Alpha Omega Pentecostal Church in Lilongwe, which is led by Harvey Chabinga. Harvey has had a relationship with JoshGen for 12 years. Here, the leaders from Kande Beach are bussing down to join us in Lilongwe.
We will be going back to Bunda Quarry Church to minister and build relationships there, followed by ministry at the church in Lilongwe and a few days with the leaders of the churches there.
Please keep us in prayer – God is doing a great thing in Malawi and we are excited to be a part of it! Thank you to everyone who responded to the call to donate clothes for us to give to the folks in Malawi.
Future plans? Possibly holding a Four12 training time in Lilongwe for the eastern Zambian and central Malawian churches, followed by an outreach during July 2016.
